The Institute of Public Health in Ljubljana will recognize World Rabies Day by focusing specifically on educating international travelers and other visitors interested in rabies. In last decade, with growing tourism, the incidence of post-exposure treatment of travelers has increased. Pre-exposure vaccination has also increased. The program will inform travelers about local treatment of the wounds and needs for rabies treatment after bite of animals as well. Details of activities will be announced by local media.
